Chaos in California – Updating Live

Follow Adam on his trip from PA to California for two huge shows.

Friday, July 25 – 2:34AM – Pittsburgh International Airport (Waiting for Baggage Check to Open)

Let’s try this again. Accidentally deleted the last post.

I attempted to leave on Tuesday night. That became an entire ordeal with Greyhound cancelling my bus and leaving me very few options to make these shows. Now I have to fly. I’m an extremely anxious person when it comes to air travel. It’s cost me relationships. So, I guess I love what I do.

I left my girlfriend, the cats and dogs, and caught an Uber to the airport ENTIRELY too early because I never fly and I’m paranoid about missing my flight.

Friday, July 25 – 4:33AM – Pittsburgh International Airport (Delta Gate)

I checked my bag, made it through the TSA, and even managed to get breakfast while I’m waiting to board. I guess it’s about 90 minutes in the air to Atlanta, a 50 minute layover, then out to LA.

I’m strangely calm about all of this. I’m still livid at Greyhound for failing me… but I’d still be on the bus right now somewhere between Las Vegas and LA. I got extra puppy time, extra time to prepare for these shows, and it actually COSTS LESS TO FLY THAN TAKE A FILTHY GREYHOUND. It’s insane. I love land-based travel and I’m willing to accept that it takes days to get across the country… but it shouldn’t cost more than a 6-hour flight.

We board in about 20 minutes. I’ll try to post from the plane, but it’s more likely I’ll catch up with you guys from Atlanta.

Friday, July 25 – 9:17AM – On a Plane Over Tennessee Somewhere

Made my connection in Atlanta. On the plane to LAX now. So far so good. I haven’t had a panic attack yet, so I’m doing okay. Laptop is dying. I’ll check in when I land in LA.
